Not sure if anyone would be interested, but I had lunch with an old Porsche Club buddy today and he told me about this event http://www.triumphclub.org/Gathering/show.htm  He also used to own a coupld of Healey's and has attended the show several times.  He says it's a great show and a lot of fun.

Sounds like fun.

hmmm - 3 registered cars of one kind are required to establish a class. Does that mean we just need 3 Lotus, or do we need to have 3 Elige and 3 Esprit?

*edit*
according to the registration form, it's only 3 of any make.

I have never been to this particular event, but there used to be a British Car Days event in Winston.  One thing I can say about British Car owners, there are a lot of them and they like to show their cars.  The one I went to was very impressive.

What's the date on this?  The link goes to a page with 2007 dates on it.  I'd be interested if a couple of you guys are going.  It's only 1 1/2 from the Boro according to the website, and if my hood doesn't open up I can make in less............

OK, I've added this to the calendar. I propose we make this our 'official' April meet. Steve Ward, one of the organizers sounds thrilled about the prospect of having a Lotus class in the show. How many folks think they could make an appearance, even if just for the Saturday?

I'm think I'm up for this, although I guess it means cleaning my car  Undecided

I'd only be able to do the Saturday though.

Is it confirmed that we need at least 3 Lotus to show?  With the showing on Sat, I wouldn't have thought that would be an issue.

It's confirmed - we need three Lotus preregistered. I am thinking that Lisa and I will head up on the Friday and leave after the show on Saturday, so we would be able to convoy back towards Charlotte together. I am awaiting some of the updated registration forms and information, which I'll distribute ASAP.

I'm a solid maybe.  It looks fun, but....I'm uneasy given that it's a month away and the website still has the 2007 dates on it.

Understandable. The guy putting it together this year is livid at his webmaster. The correct dates are here http://www.triumphclub.org/Gathering/index.htm
