The 25th Annual Gathering in Dobson, NC
April 17-18

Event hosted at Shelton Vineyards, great wine tasting and great cars. Usually a decent turn out of all type of Jags, Triumphs, TVRs, Lotus, Mini...

8AM-12PM registration. I would recommend showing up around 9-10AM

You can pre register on the website to save a little $: http://www.triumphclub.org/Gathering/GatheringBrochure10.pdf

There is also an Autocross on Sunday, for a complete schedule of events: The South Central British Car Gathering

Some pictures form last year:

Lets keep the Lotus brand strong! It is a great relaxing drive from Greensboro and the roads near the Vineyard are great. Caravan anyone?

Yeah I think I'm going to go.   thumbsup

I contracted Malaria a couple of months ago and am just now beginning to feel OK again.  But I really need to get out of the house and this has been a nice event the last few years.

Holy crap!  Huh? I'm glad you're feeling better!  Looks like I'll definitely be there, but my wife will probably pass...

If anybody wants to caravan, I'll be at the Fast Track gas station at 9:00am (off I-77).

And if anyone is coming from Charlotte or points further south, a group of folks are meeting at the Acropolis Cafe in Cornelius (I77, exit 36) at 8am, having breakfast, and departing afterwards for The Gathering.

Had a great time today!  I think my favorite part was then Oliver and I raced a C6 vette on the way home.  More specifically, my favorite part was watching him getting smaller in my rear view mirror.   dash  Sometimes 4 is > 8.

OK OK so those few tests from 70 to 120 highlighted a few missing "torques" in the Elise   I was suprised tht C6 joined in.....only to re-enforce my shame.  blushing
....Was fun though  headbang

I quite liked winning the $250 cash!

Overall it was a great day with 5 Elise (one from Maryland), one Espirt and one Birkin (7 clone).

 thumbsup

Wait a minute... was Oliver getting smaller in the rear view or the Corvette?  If it was the Corvette, he wasn't standing on it.  My C6 was faster than my supercharged Elise and we know how you faired with it  Grin

Oliver, all you need is a supercharger... no corners required!  Just ask Dave  Grin  ROFL

Gary, we raced before I installed the chip which has made a huge difference (+5psi, better fuel map, timing etc...).  And to be fair, we started from a roll (I was in 4th) on a cool day with high pressure going at least 80, which is the turbo Esprit's sweet spot...and the 'vette was a convertible with its top down which can't help once you get above 130.

Rematch?   evil5
