Directv vs. Dish Network

I've got Directv, but am getting tired of their price increases and lack of the Versus network. Last week they also dropped XM from their music lineup and replaced with with some in-house garbage. I could take or leave Versus most of the time, but I'm not thrilled about missing NHL playoffs or an occasional Indy race.
Dish Network costs less and with their soon-to-be-released wireless "TV anywhere" and integrated slingbox, seems like it has some pretty cool technology. The two-room DVR would also be sweet.
All that said, I've heard horrible things about Dish's customer service. Anybody have any opinions?
