Does this long silence mean everyone is waiting on me to divulge another of my super-secret mountain routes?
First off, sorry for not being around much lately. We bought 50 acres on one of those beautiful Va. roads that I have taken you for a drive on. Every weekend we have been up there working. Right now, the vegetation is growing faster than we can cut it back, so I'm about ready to throttle back until fall of the year.
As for doing a driving event, I am good for any weekend EXCEPT June 19-21.
Some suggestions:
Meet Hwy 77 at Low Gap (Hwy 89) and ride the Blue Ridge to Blowing Rock. Have lunch, do a little site seeing downtown then head down 321 to 268 and back to 421 in Wilkesboro.
A shorter trip could be to head up 421 to Boone then hit the Parkway and finish the route.
Sunday would be ok with me depending on which date the group decides on. We do a lot of motorcycling in the summer too. So I might have more dates to work around.
