I've got a wedding to go to Sad

On the plus side, I should get some good pics of the car at Pinehurst...

So it is possible to drive from Little Switzerland to Asheville again on the parkway?  That would be great if it is!  I have missed that section.

As far as this weekend goes, I am pretty busy already.  I wish I had time for a drive up that way.

As of May 4, 2009 it was still closed.  I have heard since then that one lane is open.  Not sure which lane is open/closed.  Here is some info I found on a bicycle forum... "  The latest word from the Citizen-Times:
One lane is opening on May 15 and both lanes mid to late June. They will have a timed traffic light up there for off hours. They will be working on paving all summer."

Sooner or later they will update the official site with more current info. http://www.nps.gov/blri/planyourvisit/roadclosures.htm
