I finished installing the upgraded injectors and chip this weekend and am really happy with the results.  Installation of the secondary injectors was supposed to be simple as no fuel rail is involved, but that simplicity was compensated for by Lotus with rusty bolts, unnecessary hardware, and a nozzle and intake manifold which were clearly designed by different engineering teams at different times in different places with different tolerances.  Rather than doing everything at once, I did the injectors only at first followed by a test drive to keep the variables in check...there was no real difference, but the peace of mind that I get even, consistent fueling at high boost made it worthwhile.

The chip was a different story - extremely easy to install, and instant gratification in the hp/tq department.  After letting it limp around in learn mode, I started to do faster and faster runs and am still grinning.  It is a great feeling to see the boost gauge regularly above 1.0bar rather than the normal 0.7-0.9 range.  I'm using the stock S4S code now, but also have a high-torque chip (no low rpm boost limit) and a high boost version of the S4S chip, but I think I'll stick with this one for now (as long as Gary doesn't add more power to his car, anyway).

I got all of the parts from John at WC Engineering who was extremely helpful.  For around $650 for the whole shebang, this was money very well spent.

Russ, could you move this post over to the performance/modifications section?

I just ordered a $15 - 9 pound pulley for mine.  Might have to do some wheelie wheels to keep the front end on the ground now  ROFL

Forget about keeping up Dave.  The hyper-hampster will not be beat!  thumbsup

Gary...stop doing that!  Isn't it fast enough?  Glad I bought the high boost chip along with the S4s code…sort of a preemptive strike against the pulley Smiley

Russ, yes, big seat of the pants gains.  I have absolutely no traction in first anymore, even from a slow roll.
