I have seen this misspelling or whatever so many times. Why? Espirit isn't even a real word, is it?

Yeah, most folks get the spelling / pronunciation mixed up. Or maybe it's a bit of dyslexia kicking in.  Wink

Esprit

noun

1) A lively, emphatic, eager quality or manner: animation, bounce, brio, dash, élan, life, liveliness, pertness, sparkle, spirit, verve, vigor, vim, vivaciousness, vivacity, zip. Informal ginger, pep, peppiness. Slang oomph. See action/inaction.

2) A strong sense of enthusiasm and dedication to a common goal that unites a group: esprit de corps, morale. See concern/unconcern, feelings.
