LOTUS beach CRUISE to Wilmington!!

OK, seems like enough interest to throw some thoughts down.  With several folks driving quite a distance to get here, perhaps a full weekend plan is in order.  This would give folks flexibility to come Friday night, Saturday night, or both.  Below are some tentative thoughts on event details.  I would really like some feedback and RSVP for those with interest

Who: Lotus Car Owners (and those who support our addiction)

When: April 18th (Fri) / 19th (Sat), 2008 (proposed).  Please suggest alternate dates if desired.

Where: Wilmington, NC

What:

Friday night reception - Perhaps dinner, drinks, show & tell, get to know each other

Saturday cruise - Breakfast maybe followed by a fun run to local hot spots... beaches, Battleship NC, etc.  I am thinking a two hour cruise ending up downtown...

"Rims on the River" car show - 4/19 vintage car show downtown on the riverfront (11A - 5PM).  Wilmington has a very cool downtown if you haven't been.  Perhaps lunch, shopping, car show attendance?  This particular show is for 1980 cars and older, so I don't know that we will participate.  We can just show up and enjoy the other rides on display.  I will arrange special parking arrangement for our group if there are enough of us.   http://dbawilmington.com/events/event_details.php?id=2

OK, hard to tell what the best time is for a group event / beach run.  I'm here all the time, so it's really up to you!  I'll leave the current date open on my schedule, but if there are other times better for individual runs, the offer still stands.  Happy to entertain fellow Lotus enthusiasts when you head this way.  Have a good one,
