I've been searching for 2 days trying to find someone that has installed a supercharger on their 2008 Elise or for a supplier that offers a kit for a 2008. So far, I have found neither. I even tried calling Sector 111 this morning and got put on indefinite hold. I have searched ET for posts to no avail. Has anyone here seen, heard or otherwise found information on what's available for '08 models. Oh yeah, I did talk to Ralph at LoD and Lotus SC parts will not be available for retro fits. They have done 2 installations (Katana) on older Elise, but nothing on an '08.

Been there already. Lots of good info on supercharging but nothing about '08 models. I may have to give in and make a post over there but I'll exhaust every other option before I do. Too many jerks over there for my taste.

I hear you. I've completely quit posting. Sector 111 is probably your best bet then. I know Velocity here in Charlotte was talking about becoming a distributor for them. They could certainly handle the install of anything you needed. So what, you need more power? Has your gerbil gone on strike?

Blackwatch doesn't show anything for 2008 models either. So far, no one does. So what, you need more power? Has your gerbil gone on strike? I'm putting my gerbil on 'roids!

Why would it be any different than '05-'07 ?
The only potential difference I can think of would be in the ECU. I would contact CharlieX and ask him. I'm sure he would know.

I don't know what or why there would be a difference. And so far, I've been unable to fine out. In my reading over in Lotus Talk, CharlieX was very specific about which year he was programming for. I went back and read the entire development process thread. Maybe it's due to emission changes. Maybe it's due to diffenent part suppliers. I just know that his first development was for 2005 specific use, then 2006 and now apparently 2007. Just no 2008 yet.

I had some service work done at LoD today and had a chance to talk to them about supercharging. The big hold up with aftermarket suppliers seems to be the engine management system. The 2008 cars are completely different from '05-07 cars. But, they are getting together a list of OEM parts used on the new Elise SC cars for me. Apparently I will be able to buy them a-la-carte, although it sound like it could be price prohibitive. Good news is, if I go the OEM route, I can maintain my (limited) warranty. I'll post back when I get the list.

I posted at Lotus Talk last night and CharlieX replied back "yep i support the 08 ecu's too, so you can have any of the kits i've worked on." I guess that means the aftermarket companies just need to update their websites to reflect availability. I'll try Sector 111 again today. The quest continues...

The obvious choice is to go for the supercharger install but... Any thoughts on just eliminating the engine in favor of another 4-cyl alternative? I know there are kits for Honda engines, but I bet the OBDII Mitsu 4G63 or Toyota 3S-gte would be amazing in the elise. Too overly Frankenstein?

I think you have been reading too many of those "soup up your mini-bike" sites. I actually put a 3.2L Bosch injected, computer managed Porsche engine in my 1973 2.4L carburated Porsche once. I can't tell you how long (or how much $$$) it took to sort it all out. So, I won't be doing any more Frankenstein projects. If it doesn't come in a kit, fully sorted and warrantied, I won't be messing with it!
