When = October 18th
Where = 9:00 AM (ouch!) Greenville, SC at the BMW plant on 85

http://www.euroautofestival.com/

It's early yet, but I'd like to treat this event like we did The Gathering and get the planning underway now as I'd like a huge turnout for this one. Let's all meet up and convoy in together. I'd like to get all the Lotus preregistered so we can get our own class created. I've already talked with Kevin (Charlotte Area Ferrari Enthusiasts) and they normally take cars down as well. We are going to try and have all the convoys meet off I85 in Charlotte and go down together. If we also bring 20 cars, we should be able to bring the highway to an absolute standstill Smiley

Here is the link to the registration form:
http://www.euroautofestival.com/OnlineRegForm.aspx - Please make sure to put Carolina Car Club and the link in the 'Car club affiliation' section

For those coming from Charlotte, we'll meet at the SC Welcome Center at mile marker 103 at 8:00. Google has it at about 40 miles from Charlotte. At 8:15 we saddle up and head to the BMW plant, about 52 miles away. That way we get there shortly after 9:00.

I was around when this event started (1998 I think).  It's a first class event.  BMW has a beautiful facility and they attract some top notch automobiles.

Many, many moons ago, I actually was the chief architect for their computer network installation. I was there as the building went up to oversee the cabling etc...

That's an awesome building and museum too.  I got invited to the first Euro organizational meeting to represent Porsche.  We got the nickle tour of the public area.  I suspect you are more than a little proud to have been a part of that building project.

And all this time I thought you were only good for jacking a laptop into a wall outlet  Grin

Swedish cars featured this year, eh?  Hm.  I'm only in if you can promise that we'll get to see a Koenigsegg CCR!

OK, fine, I suppose I'm in anyway.  9AM will be damn early from the non-Charlotte folks though...

Not sure if I can promise the Koenigsegg, but last year there was a Miura, an F40 and an F50 in attendance.

The show goes on all day so getting there right at 9 isn't critical, but I will probably shoot for that since I am less than 2 hours away.

I go down 321 to 85.  I could meet up with you on 85 somewhere south of where it intersects with 321.  I think there is a rest area somewhere near the SC border that would work.

Dude you must have been young!.  That was, what, 10-12 years ago now?

What a coincidence!  My company supplied and erected all the steel that supports your cabling!  thumbsup
