Ferrari? Jag? MG? Other Ferrari? Bentley? Other Jag?) OK gang, going to do a simple meet this month. Basically a Meet, Eat, and Drive like we did in March, only with a twist. We'll meet at one of the lakeside restaurants for lunch then do a drive afterwards. I'd like to go parade through Birkdale and then hit some of the back country roads like we did last time. At 5;30, for those that can hang around, the Habitat for Humanity car show is taking place in Cornelius. It’s the 1st Annual Habitat for Humanity Car Show scheduled for Saturday August 23rd, 5:30 – 9:00 PM. $20.00 for early registration; $25.00 same day registration.
A great opportunity to get together, show your car, have fun, and help a great cause! All right here in the Lake Norman area!
Habitat for Humanity builds decent affordable housing in cooperation with families in need. This event is a fund raiser for Youth United, a group of local high school students who both raise the money and pound the nails for their own Habitat house. This is a great opportunity to support two great causes – Habitat for Humanity and our local young people who through Youth United are raising the money to build their third Habitat house.
Saturday August 23 in the Habitat ReStore parking lot on Main Street (Route 115) in Cornelius. lol - I didn't realize that Macs was actually called Macs Speed Shop. They have great BBQ and will cater to groups like us. I just left a message with the manager, so we'll try and get something going there.
