              From 77, take 485 to Exit 1 (Tryon).
              Take a left at the light and continue to Westinghouse
              Take a right on Westinghouse and go until the second industrial park on the left (If you get to railroad tracks, you have gone too far)
              Velocuty is located right in the middle of the business park
             
              If you look up the address in Google maps, select Streetview and then turn until you are facing south, you will basically be looking at Velocity. The enterance is back to the east.

We are still working out details, but Velocity has very generously agreed to open their doors to us on the 21st for a BBQ and a drive. This is already looking like it will be our best event yet as we will get to tour their facility, eat, AND take a drive. I'll keep updating this thread as we get more details worked out, but please block the date off in your calendar - it promises to be a great time. A special thanks goes out to the Velocity crew for all their support in pulling this together.

Hopefully their location in south Charlotte will be geographically centered to allow our SC crew and NC crew to mingle a bit.

OK, we will meet at noon to tour the shop and eat. We'll then go on a drive - probably towards Crowders Mountain. I'll need everybody to RSVP so I can plan on the amount of food we need to buy. Burgers, dogs, chips and drinks will be provided. We are going to ask everybody to bring a side dish (last name starts with A-M) or dessert (Last name N-Z) if at all possible. I realize some of you are coming quite a distance and the logistics of transporting food in a Lotus are a pain. Thanks!!!

I've been in the South for ten years now, so I blend in pretty well.  I lost the Jersey accent a long time ago.  Plus I don't pick a side when it comes to the "War of Northern Aggression" (like my in-laws call it), my "peeps" hadn't landed at Ellis Island yet....

Lisa and I will attempt to come. Still predicated on if she may be having surgery by then or not, as well as if gas hits over $5 a gallon??? Sounds like fun and is not too far from us.
By the way we are both "yankees" as well as "youse guys". Lisa is from Long Island and I am from Joisey.
But since purchasing the Lotus we are both officially Brits!
