We haven't done anything in the Triad area yet.  We could meet up in WS or Kernersville and have a spirited drive up to Hanging Rock/Pilot Mountain/Blue Ridge and enjoy the outdoors before it gets too hot.

In FL we used to meet up at various state parks and barbecue (I think they call it a "cook out" up here).  Everybody would volunteer to bring stuff like burgers/dogs/charcoal/beer etc...just an idea.   idea1  I'm open for anything.

My car's clutch is officially dead (my dad finished it off last week) so I might need to ride shotgun with somebody.  Undecided

Blue Ridge Parkway.  We can hook up with the CLT crowd at Exit 1 on I-77, right inside the Virginia line.  We can take Pipers Gap to the Parkway, maybe have lunch at Fancy Gap, ride on up to the winery or Mabry Mill.  There are lots of good over looks along the way for pictures.  And you can get back on I-77 pretty easy when it's time to head south.

Funny you should mention Hanging Rock.  I was just there at lunch time and ran into about 100 BMWs.  They were kicking off "sharkfest."  I live in K-Vegas too so we could easily make an impromptu run some where.

Where abouts in K-vegas do you live?  We live right off Kerner Road just before you get to Interlaken.

Hanging Rock is always a good idea.  There are tons of good roads all around there.  We can throw together a Triad meets anytime.  Finding something convenient for the Charlotte boys is a little more of a challenge.  The BRP is about equi-distant.

I haven't driven Pipers Gap before so this could be fun.

I'm in for a decent car ride and the park idea sounds great, I can bring things.

Do you have a date in mind?

I wish this weather would change...

This sounds like a plan. As far as date, how does the end of the month look for everybody?

OK, I'm starting the going to start a new thread and link it to the calendar. This one is too full of junk for anybody to make heads or tails of what's planned Smiley

We are getting ready for Bike Week now, but as soon as I get that behind me, TWISTIES it is!  I have a buddy that lives right behind Glenn High who has a Mini Cooper (and a yellow Corvette).  You ever run across him?

Gary, I think you have officially been volunteered to lead our drive Smiley  I've got no clue about the roads up that way.

I'll be glad to work out a route.  We ride the bikes all around there and are pretty familiar with the roads.  I think we can show everyone a good time.
